Student Wellbeing

Working towards healthy, safe, engaged and supported students.

At St Catherine's we understand that students are better prepared for learning when they are in a happy and safe environment, allowing them to actively engage in their learning. They can deal more positively with life’s challenges and build strong connections with their peers, school and their teachers. At St Catherine’s, well being is the responsibility of all staff and parents working collaboratively in a whole school context using the KidsMatter framework.

Through day-to-day interactions and explicit teaching and learning, students are given the opportunity to develop a sense of belonging through building positive and respectful relationships.

About St Catherine's

St Catherine's School opened in 1957 and was administered by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. In 1984 the first lay principal was appointed. In 2017 the school is celebrating 60 years of providing Catholic Education in Moorabbin. The school is situated on spacious grounds in a quiet street off South Road.
